An Irish creative with a love for exploring the unusual, Ion seeks to offer a unique perspective in any field of work or art they find themselves exploring and being a completely unapolagetic nerd.
From a very early age, videogames and digital media have been a major fascination of Ion's. This love would never fade but only strengthen as they now seek to enter the indie game development scene and make a name for themself.
From humble beginnings in paint.net and blender 3, Ion has since become deeply familiar with a vast array of different tools to create 2D and 3D tools, making use of tools such as Blender 5, GIMP, Aseprite, Blockbench and Magicavoxel. Additionally, they take special adoration to more unorthodox programs such as PicoCAD, Pico8, Crocotile and much more.
Ion has a clear vision of a future for games and game development, one that is not dominated by the predatory monetization tactics of today nor encroaching on the personal privacy of it's players while giving them control of their experience and fun. Peer-to-peer connections, server APIs to allow users to host their own game servers, integrated modding and not requiring an internet connection for every other game are some of the practices Ion seeks to pursue and popularize once more as part of a larger movement spurred by initiatives such as Stop Killing Games.
